Meet Dr. Frevent Millet
Dr. Frevent Millet was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, but has traveled extensively, living in Texas, Hawaii, and Korea and studying in Chicago and Bosnia. He now enjoys the outdoor opportunities that Arizona life affords him, particularly dirt biking, mountain biking, and most sports.
When Dr. Millet was a preschooler, his father taught him to read using an old chalkboard. Dr. Millet’s father, who worked in construction, told him then what a good job dentistry is.
After graduating from high school, Dr. Millet moved to Hawaii. As a freshly arrived Utah boy not yet ready to navigate the ocean waves, he nearly drowned. That pivotal experience made him consider what he wanted out of life. He mulled over his choices while pedaling his bicycle across Canada and created a life plan. Dentistry seemed a natural fit, thanks to his father’s influence and because Dr. Millet has always been good with his hands and likes helping people. He now lives in the Scottsdale area with his wife, and they have four children.
Education
Dr. Millet attended the University of Houston and completed his DDS at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. He takes continuing education courses beyond what the Arizona dental board requires, particularly in implantology and endodontics. Dr. Millet has received numerous Best Dentist awards throughout his career.
Treatment Philosophy
For Dr. Millet, saving teeth is the first priority. When a tooth is very damaged, he prefers to preserve it using a root canal. When necessary, he replaces missing or extensively damaged teeth with implants. He finds these procedures have excellent, predictable long-term results that satisfy patients. For that reason, he has invested significant time developing his expertise in performing root canals and implants.
